Activities for 2-3 year olds?!?!?

Im Working in a daycare and this month and next month we are teaching the kids about winter and doing winter based activities. So i thought it would be a neat idea to make some play dough and make it smell like candy canes. ... But What else could i do? I wanted to get some cookie cutters for them shaped like snowflakes or snowmen but i cannot find any Anywhere in my town. What else could i do?
Does anyone have any ideas? Anything would help a lot. thanks

Paper chains - just concertina fold the paper- draw and cut out chains such as leaf, snowflakes, snowmen (the children can decorate if not up to the cutting stage yet)

Draw a tree trunk on sheet of large paper and get them to glue on real leaves that they collect first!
(or just assorted collage bits to decorate the tree)

Talk about the cold- watch ice melt.You couild freeze small objects in ice cube trays (marble, hair clips etc)
