Does anyone know of an older online game in which you created phrases/sentences using word magnets?
I thought it was through popcap.com but I can't be sure. If it was from that site, it's not there anymore. You had a time limit to create a phrase based on a theme in each round, using scattered words, like fridge magnets. After making a sentence/phrase, the group playing in that room would vote on them, and points would be given. After a certain number of rounds, the points were totaled and a winner was announced. The different rooms had names. You could chat to group members while playing. When it loaded, a purple wizard icon filled up with color. It was a lot of fun, but I just can't find it using search engines, because the only game that comes up is "fridge magnets," which is similar, but not it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Kelly,
The game was called Psychobabble and was indeed on popcap.com before they pulled it for unknown reasons sadly. However, there are some good reincarnations of the game out there on the web. Personally I think this one is very much alike (though obviously not as good as the original PB):
http://www.mutantdog.com/ (Mr Squirrel's Pseudobabble)
You'll need to download the latest vesion of Java though, with the component Active X, in order to play it.
Have fun!
