I have four Silkie Bantam hens and one rooster and the rooster was doing it with one of my hens who eventually layed and egg. The egg was warm when I brought it in my house and so I put it in a box with some paper towels and a heat lamp. And that was January 18th. And I heard that it takes 21 days for a chicken to hatch so I was expecting it to hatch today but It hasn't. I've also been turning it everyday like it said online and I'm keeping it in a very warm room. I heard that if you put it up to a light that you could see the chick inside but the shell is very thick and tannish and I don't see anything but the shell! So does anyone think it might hatch or not? Please no negative answers I was just experimenting with this one egg to see if it might hatch.
