Egg holder
A minimalistic, elegant solution. Fairly simple to make, with only two bendings and since it is of a sufficiently rectangular shape you can cut out an impressive number of these number of these with very little to no wasted material.

This same concept, slightly altered, can be used to make a charming tea-candle holder. The light of candle reflecting off the mirror like surface makes the whole sight that much brighter and warmer.

Trivet-or pot coaster
Instead of one coaster that is supposed to fit all sizes let’s try three coasters where each one has its own margins. This is a great way to save material since each coaster is made from the wasted material of its predecessor. It also gives you a certain variety and makes you feel like you’ve gotten your money’s worth.
