How would one make the leaf cookies pictured here?
http://www.sugarcraft.com/catalog/cooky/leavespict.jpg
Are the leaves made with a cookie press, a mold of some sort, or a standard cookie cutter and the lines on the leaf are piped on after the shape is cut?
If you have a recipe as well, that would be great!
The leaf cookies look like they are sandwich cookies; cookie on top (the colored cookie), a chocolate filling in the middle (unless that is just shadowing that I see), and a plain cookie as the bottom layer. The leaf cookies look like they were made from a mold of some sort-if you look closely, you can see that the cookies look identical. I'm pretty sure the leaf lines were not piped on. I do a lot of piping and baking. Those cookies do not have any piping on the top of them.
