Can you get tetanus from a knife with no rust?

I was cut recently with a clean kitchen knife. It's not very old, and I have looked it over very closely and there is no rust at all. It was a deep wound, though, with red flowing blood. What do you think the chances of tetanus are? Can there be tetanus on a knife with no rust?

Tetanus vaccinations are the best vaccinations we have. Almost 100% effective! They last for 10 whole years!

Why don't you take this opportunity to go get a tetanus shot, then you won't be asking this question for 10 years.
