magnet replacement on a bike computer?
I just bought a new computer for my bicycle and I dropped the little magnet that clips onto the spoke. I can't find the little dude ANYWHERE. I'll keep looking, but I think it's time to consider alternatives.
Is there anything I can use instead? I have a fridge magnet that is a cylinder, and I could attach it easily to the spoke, but it's quite a bit stronger than the little magnet that comes with the kit.
Is this an acceptable idea or am I pretty much screwed here?
problem solved - I went ahead and tried the fridge magnet. Works like a charm
As long as you can attach the fridge magnet securely to the wheel it will probably work fine. It won't hurt the computer so no reason not to give it a try.
