Fridge Digital Thermometer

My refrigerator is not working correctly?

I have a samsung fridge where the freezer is on the left and the fridge is on the right. It has a digital thermometer stating the freezer is at zero, and previous to the past few days the fridge temp read 34 degrees. For the past few days though, the fridge is reading at 50 or 55 degrees. Anyone know what could possibly fix the problem? Thanks

are the vents clear? assuming that's not an issue, it could be you have an issue with the defrost circuit. if the unit keeps going into defrost mode, you don't get any cooling.

have you cleaned the back of the fidge? all that tubing is the condenser coil. it need's to be dirt/dust/grease free.

i don't know how old the unit is but compressors do fail, (new fridge time). hopefully that's not the case.

there's other stuff too, but that's enough to get you started.
