Decoration Icing Image

Trying to make a cake and need help!!?

Hello! I was wonder what type of icing would taste ok with that type of filling but still be textured enough to hold the decorations (m&m's or candies) I was originally going to do a whipped cream icing but I do not think it would hold the decorations! Anything help would be so great!!! Thank you! Recipes are welcomed

Here is a perfect icing that will go well with your filling. It is a crusting cream cheese filling that will crust and decorate just like butter cream.
1/2 cup of shortening
1/2 cup (one stick) salted butter, softened
1 8oz bar cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp clear vanilla extract
2 lbs 10x powder sugar

Cream together shortening, butter, and cream cheese until nice and smooth. Add vanilla into mixture and combine. Add sugar slowly to shortening, butter & cheese mixture. I stop in between and scrape down the sides. Make sure that all sugar is incorporated. Enjoy!

This makes a nice consistency for piping and decorating. I add milk (by tablespoons) to get a thinner consistence which is perfect for icing the actual cake without getting crumbs in the icing.

Remember that the both this icing and the filling that you are using require refrigeration.
