Is the 4 year cut off on voting rights a bit arbitrary and lazy?
"The government has announced that prisoners serving fewer than four years will be eligible to vote.
The Cabinet Office statement said all offenders sentenced to four years or more would automatically be barred from registering to vote.
The decision comes after a European court ruling which the government is obliged to implement. "

I know many of you object to prisoners having a vote, but when you consider this 4 year ruling, it seems a bit lacking somehow. Thoughts?
The matter should be decided by our democratically elected representatives in Westminster.Not imposed on us by some faceless unelected bureaucrats in Brussels.
